2019: It’s A Family Affair
The Toronto Flower Show was excited to present another thrilling year of competitions amongst amateur floral arrangers and garden club members at Canada Blooms!
Non-professional exhibitors and members of horticultural societies and garden clubs entered the classes, competing in horticulture special exhibits, floral design, and photography. The Toronto Flower Show at Canada Blooms, as always, welcomed those who wish to be involved in open classes! Visitors were invited to come and see the nation’s most fascinating floral arrangements, and as well, displays by international competitors who realize Canada Blooms is a world class festival!

FERDINAND
|
Jackie Ferdinand represented Barbados. At Canada Blooms she won gold and the Heather Fuller Award for the Best in Class for her tropical design which used flowers and foliage from her island home |

ANNA FULTON
|
Anna Fulton, won gold with a striking modern design. Anna represented the island of Bermuda and is training to become a judge and demonstrator. Anna is a newcomer to international competition and she has made a brilliant start. |

JUDY JAMES
|
Judy James won a silver ribbon with her creative design using mostly dried Canadian wood products. Judy is a great designer, winning the Gold Cup at Canada Blooms, and she is a gifted demonstrator. |

CHANTAL DUFOUR
|
Chantal Dufour is a talented and charming woman who has been doing beautiful arrangements in the French style of simple elegance. She judges, demonstrates and teaches internationally. |

PREETI SARDA
|
Preeti Sarda represented India. Preeti was intstrumental in hosting the WAFA seminar in 2017 and she taught several workshops. She has innovative wasy of using jute in her design which she documented in a booklet which she has shared widely.

BEVERLY BUTTIMER
|
Beverly Buttimer was delighted to be back in Canada. In 1995, she had the privilege of working in Minter Gardens, British Columbia on her horticulture college placement. She was honoured to represent Ireland through AOIFA, by qualifying for the National Floral Competitions in Autumn 2017 and receiving Runner Up in the Floral Artist of the Year. |

PAOLA SCOCCIMARRO

Paola Scoccimorro is a member of Italy’s modern school of floral design, the IIDFA, where she has excelled as a designer and demonstrator. She is well known internationally as a demonstrator and travels extensively to share her knowledge.

MADHVI KHIMJI
|
Madhvi Khimji is the President of the Muscat Floral Art Group and regularly conducts her own demos for the 80 member club. She has attended WAFA shows in Japan, Pakistan, Boston, Barbados and Ireland. She is also a member of WFC. She has also participated in shows in Kenya, China and Brisbane. |

BEVERLEY WESTHOF
|
Beverley Westoff, represented South Africa. she began her floral journey in 2005 and since has represented South Africa doing the Honorary at the international Dromantine Show in Ireland. She came in 3rd in World Flower Show in Dublin, Ireland and obtained a silver-gilt at Chelsea England Flower Show in the Queen’s Jubilee year.

KATHERINE KEAR

Katherine Kear is from Britain and is an accomplished flower arranger who loves teaching and story telling with her arrangements. She has studied the history of plants, their symbolism and their use as herbs and remedies.
