We are currently accepting applications from recognized and respected landscape architects, designers and design/build firms who are interested in creating a Feature Garden at Canada Blooms, March 2023. Deadline is September 15, 2022.
Please note we have limited space available to showcase the talent, creativity, craftsmanship and professionalism of our industry members at Canada Blooms. We are again co-locating with the National Home Show creating North America’s Largest Home and Garden Event.

Date of submission is August 15, 2022, Rendering submission by September 15.
All feature garden space will be rectangular, however you can build to any shape within that rectangle.
Terrace-Scape – 60 square feet (10 x 6). These balcony/patio/terrace gardens should highlight how creativity is key for limited space.
Do-Up-The Doorsteps Small Space (Frontstep and Backstep)– 100-225 square feet (hard wall backdrop provided). These gardens should be stylish and striking in their design and challenge the designer to find clever solutions to restrictions in space and conflicts of use often found in extreme environments.
Small – 400 to 600 square feet. These gardens should be stylish and striking and designers are encouraged to find clever solutions to small space challenges.
Medium – 800 to 1,200 square feet. The choice of materials and planting should showcase sustainable solutions in innovative ways.
Large – up to 2400 square feet. We actively encourage diversity of design in this category with the expectation that your garden will include 50% green space, and full accessibility to all festival-goers.
Participants must submit a request by September 15, with a design proposal in the form of a sketch, rendering or drawing or any combination of these to follow, which must consist of either: two 8.5″ x 11″ or one 11″ x 17″ jpeg(s). A paragraph explaining your design must accompany your rendering.

Hard copies can be mailed to the Canada Blooms office (7856 Fifth Line South, Milton, ON L9T 2X8 ) if preferred.
Your proposal will be reviewed by the competition committee and you will be notified by phone or email if you are selected to proceed by October 15, 2022.
Please note that feature garden space is limited and submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants will be notified if they are selected, once all designs have been reviewed by the Design Committee for final selection.
