Canada Blooms: The Flower & Garden Festival invites you to visit
a paradise bursting with six acres of glorious gardens
in full bloom, more than 100,000 square feet of green thumb shopping
and much, much more at Canada's largest and most prestigious flower
and garden festival.
If you were interested in learning more about gardening? There
are four different educational stages going non-stop, the show offers
over 200 hours of seminars,
workshops and demonstrations over five days from some of the
best garden experts in North America. And it was free with your
admission to Canada Blooms.
If you need a little inspiration or were looking for ideas? Over
twenty dazzling and unique display gardens
are designed and built by the best of the best!
Ever wondered what happens to those beautiful flowers after
the festival?
After this year's event The City of Toronto, Canada Blooms and
Procter’s Cartage Ltd. partnered to distribute 500 spring
blooms and shrubs to seniors living at Fudger House, one of the
City of Toronto’s long-term care homes. Flowers have also
been made available to seniors’ facilities and programs including
Belmont House, Fellowship Towers, Rekai Centre, Seniors Pride Network,
Dixon Hall, Toronto Tamil Seniors Association, True Davidson Acres
Meals on Wheels, Winchester Square and Home Makers and Nurses Services
clients. In addition to repurposing the flowers, the City and Canada
Blooms have partnered to save 40 trees from the show, which will
be planted in City parks this spring.
