Green Industry Revitalizes St. James Park

Landscape Ontario

Member companies of Landscape Ontario and the Nursery Sod Growers Association pulled off an amazing restoration of St. James Park in Toronto over a two-day blitz, at no cost to Toronto taxpayers. All of the equipment, labour and materials were generously donated by companies and individuals in the landscape industry, who understand how vital green space is for local residents and businesses. Organizers were overwhelmed with letters of thanks and praise from the local community. See more details on this project, including videos, comments and pictures, on the Landscape Ontario website: www.landscapeontario.com.

Canada Blooms and The Gaden Club of Toronto
Team Up to Support the June Callwood Park
Landscape Ontario A new park in Toronto to honour the memory of June Callwood is scheduled for completion in 2013 and Canada Blooms along with The Garden Club of Toronto have chosen to make this worthwhile project the recipient of the proceeds of Canada Blooms 2012.  The park will represent a significant addition to the public spaces of Toronto’s Central Waterfront and will have a central focus for local neighbourhood activities and community.
June Callwood died in 2007 leaving an extraordinary legacy of caring and accomplishment. She was an internationally acclaimed female journalist, author, television host, community activist, recipient of nearly 20 honorary degrees, and Companion of the Order of Canada.
