Who We Are:
After a hobby of keeping critters, Nicholas developed a keen eye for natural display as he set up aquariums and terrariums professionally for offices and homes. This passion resumed while working as a theatre agent for one of Canada’s largest talent agencies, The Talent House. Nicholas provided floral arrangements for the opening night performances he attended which started his business, Opening Night Flowers by Nicholas Smith. He was sought out by 5th Element Events and was fortunate enough to freelance on various large and beautiful projects including Wedluxe Magazine’s showcase at The Ritz Carleton. After making the decision to leave the exciting world of talent management, Nicholas is now the District Training Manager for Forest of  Flowers and is also developing a new Business Management workshop for the Canadian Institute of Floral Design. Nicholas continues to provide floral and event planning services and also owns a modeling agency.
Nicholas will also be hosting the Design Challenge on the HGTV Main Stage! |
