The Ugliest Schoolyard Contest

About Linda & Wayne Hugli

Linda and Wayne Hugli are retired teachers who are celebrating 25 years of gardening together in Sudbury, Ontario.  Linda is a 23 year veteran of the Sudbury Master Gardeners and Wayne is one of Ontario's Honorary Master Gardeners.  Each of them has also served a three year term as president of their local Horticultural Society.  For the past eleven years, both organizations have been actively involved in Greater Sudbury's schoolyard re-greening initiatives.  Children from more than forty schools have benefitted from participation in the annual "Ugliest Schoolyard Contest" which Wayne has spearheaded since 2005.  Linda and Wayne welcome the opportunity to inspire other gardening enthusiasts to share their knowledge and passion with students in their communities.
